Default The exquisitly carniverous Greenlanders and fish oil

Still reading, but I'm hearing more about fish oil supplements lately. Still eating loads of salmon. All I can say is I feel better when I eat lots of salmon.

I'm sort of cheering for both sides here. People want fish oil to be a magic food that protects Greenland Inuit from their "obviously" harmful carnivorous diet. I'd like the answer to be that avoiding carbohydrates is as good for you as I hope/think it is, but I'd be happy to have an omega 3 superfood as well.

The dose is a good point. We've got Inuit who were eating way more omega 3 than in any study I've ever seen, if we want to show their results were likely related to their omega 3 intake, we're going to have to study similar intakes. Duh.

Anybody noticed an increase in glucose when taking high doses of fish oil?

Not that I've noticed but I've sort of stopped taking my BG readings and I've stopped taking fish oil and eat lots of salmon instead.

According to one source, real food is the best absorbed. Run of the mill fish oil is poorly utilized.
