Last weekend when I had a bunch of out-of-town family around I bought a bunch of crackers to have around with snacks. We didn't end up having them, so last night I ate half the package. Oy. I have not been doing great in general lately with all the eating out I've been doing and I've just been over eating in general. Today, not only did my weight fly up, but I feel crappy. I'm groggy and tired. I've been at this for months and, for me, this is a hard time. It's hard to stay committed, stay on track, keep giving up things l'd like to be eating, mentally staying in the place I need to be to meet my goals. Bleh. I just want to go back to bed this morning!

Im here to kick your butt!!!!

Its easy to cave. Its easy to quit.

Is this about weight loss, or about good health?? Is it too hard to stay on plan ?? If so, why is that?? What is YOUR goal ??

Working thru these questions is part of the process...dont do what is easy, but pick what YOU want to acheive.

Im at 20 years trying to be LC.....hit every snag possible....totally understand the frustrations and the slow down in dedication.....it comes down to what you want to acheive.

Right now, its the crappy food that is controlling you. Get back on plan as soon as you can and feel good again.

Think about all the things you've learned in your life? Were they immediate? No. We don't learn that way. Eventually, slipping up and feeling it will create the feedback mechanism that hollers "NO" when you are tempted by food that makes you sick. I have not eaten wheat, rice or oats in over ten years but it took a while of feeling bad to get there. Take what you know and apply it in the future and you will be fine.

Well...For me it's mainly about weight loss. I'm one of those people that had pretty good health--though I could see some things coming in maybe 15 years.

Part of that is that I've eaten a fairly low carb diet for a long time. I lost some weight about 20 years ago, then gained it back. But I've never really gone back to a full-blown, all the time SAD. I've had some bad stretches, which is how I put on weight, but I think the other stretches have helped me keep my health in check.

Thanks for all the cheering on, girls! I went outside yesterday after I posted and got in the sunshine and did a little gardening on my balcony. That helped me wake up and improved my mood! I'm feeling better this morning. I got up and worked out.

I'm still feeling a bit stuck with my weight loss lately. But I haven't been working out and I have too many days when I'm off plan, so I know why. A few days of superstrict very low carbs will help my mood and energy re-set, I'm sure.

This week is my first try at fasting. Just a one day 36 hour fast. Two times. Almost easier than 23/1 eating. It really seems to kick start the system. I couldn't do the 36 hours if I wasn't already fat adapted-- go keto !!!! Having one day of not having to plan my food is a plus.

No change. I won the last challenge but that always means a bit of a plateau .
