(Not speaking of physical stress - AKA exercise!)

Could you schedule me a stress-free few months so that I can tell?

I think that most people are under stress from something or other most of the time.

I know that stress is a trigger to CHEAT, and of course, JUSTIFY the cheating for me. That will surely cause a stall!

OK, let me replace the word 'stress' in my post with 'periods of much greater than usual stress - significant overwork, relationship difficulties etc.'

There certainly are mechanisms by which (say, cortisol, etc.) weight loss can be thwarted or gain can happen, related to stress and absent simple overeating. I'm just wondering on this board who stress-related stalls happen to and how. Anecdotes.

Yes, it does. I have been very stressed for months. No weight change, even at 20 carbs, and 1200 cal. That made the stress worse. To get over it I did Atkins Modified Fat Fast, it is hard But I needed a bang. Still a bit stressed, but 6 pounds lighter.
I was/am stressed over moving to a different country.

One more thing, before I did the Fat Fast, I tried hoodia, and yoga everyday for one hour and a half for 4 weeks. Now I also added coconut oil to my woe.

YES. Very much so, it feels almost impossible to lose weight unless I'm in a good space. Maybe I'm wimpy.. but it's me.

This is beside the topic, but another thing I've noticed - maybe it will help other people to see it - is that when I am very tired there is almost no control. Why do I cheat? We ask ourselves in frustration ....but it is directly linked to how much sleep I get.

Mrs W. where are you moving to/from? Next week we're moving from New York to Germany

Meg-s, we moved from New Jersey to England. It was very easy to fall off Atkins, for the first month we were here, and I was not pregant. And Yes, when I am tired, stress is higher no control.
Great luck with your baby and your move.
