Hi LadyBug!

Eating out isn't terribly difficult when following a low carb WOE. You can order meat and veggies a la carte or order a main entree and ask if you can either leave off the starchy side dish or substitute a low carb legal one instead like broccoli or green beans. Something that my DH and I frequently do is ask if we can leave off the potato and just have a bigger salad instead. The restaurant that we ate at yesterday was more than willing to accomodate our request at no extra cost.
You can also eat at fast food places. You can order a salad or even a burger and either ask for it without the bun or order it with the bun and throw the bun away.
Buffets are a great choice; there's almost always meats that are low carb friendly and usually a veggie choice that works too. There's always salad. Ranch and Bleu Cheese dressings are usually fairly safe in restaurants, otherwise ask for vinegar and oil (not Italian dressing, just plain vinegar and oil).
Enjoy your trip!

If I go out to eat lately it is usually Ryans. They have tons to chose from. Shrimp, Steak, Ham, green beans, broccoli, tuna salad..... and all you can eat!!!!!

I never ate at that place until I started Adkins. I definatly get my money worth when I eat there. Oink!

A lot of places will have a choice of rice, potato, or veggie with items like steak or chicken. My favorite restaurant meal is salad, steak, grilled shrimp, and grilled veggies. Yum!
