Marvin, did they stall you at all? Did you eat them w/out the sauce and tomatoes and onions?

Hardees and Carl Jr are the same thing, owned by the same group actually. If you are doing Low Carb, you get used to telling servers very carefully how you want your meals prepared. Like, "sauce on the side" so you can be very sparing with it. I find that when I am a repeat customer, like at our local Hardees, the people remember that I order everything low carb. One early favorite of mine was to Order Ruby Tuesday's pasta dishes with broccoli and/or cauliflower as a replacement for the pasta. Looked great, tasted great, less carbs by a lot. This is my 1st post, btw. Glad to hear about this place.

One of my bikes is a Red and yellow Trek, and I have an In N Out logo sticker (also red and yellow) on the underseat bag to remind me, not just of the burgers, but of the excellent shakes they serve. Definately NOT low carb!

Okay, Bruce, now you've done it.
You had to mention the shakes.
Let's see, it's 7:30 pm. If I leave right now I can be at the nearest In-N-Out in time for breakfast. (And how sad is it that I know where the nearest In-N-Out 600 miles away from me is.)

Sorry BB! Tell me, is it better NOT to think of them, or is it better to remember exactly what one tastes like and enjoy it virtually? For me I can imagine them all I want, but I can't even have a little taste of one. I do much better with zero qty of high carb foods than with trying to use moderation.

Ok, ok, I turned around at the border.

Seriously though, I think that In-N-Out for me is as much about time and space as about the food. It's as much about being 16 on a Friday night as it is about burgers and fries. Food that carries memories with it. Can anyone say "emotional eating"?

Having said that, I'd love to see someone offer a low-carb fast food shake...
how about strawberry shake protein style?
On second thought, maybe not.

BTW Bruce, I like your idea of ordering pasta dishes with veggies instead of pasta. Gotta try that.

Wow BB, I've been craving an IN N Out shake since I read these, wouldn't that be great!!

On the down side, I ate two of the Atkins chocolate chocolate chip cookies tonight, no sugar, but I'm afraid that it will make me stall??? I made sure I did my exercise video afterwards. Has anyone tried those, and if so did you stall at all?
