Default Slim in Six, Anyone?

I tried to get a slim in 6 challenge going before, but nothing! I mean, even Turbo Jam will work.

I just started my second round of Slim in Six, that means I'm on Start it Up. I am going to try for 2 workouts (of this video since it's so short 20 min) a day for 6 days. Then, move onto the 2nd video. Who's game?

What's the video like anyway? I've never been able to get myself to stick to a regular routine involving videos, and I must admit - some of the videos I've heard of sound super-tough.

However, that said - I'm looking towards winter - and thinking, "There's no way I'm gonna get up at 6am and go to the gym when it's minus 20 out there..."

Not ready for home videos just yet - I prefer going to the gym, but I must admit, I *am* curious about the various video programs that people like to follow.

How about a 'review' of what Slim in Six is like? I'm not asking about results just yet, but curious about the actual workout.

Do tell!

Well first off, google slim in six reviews, that really helped me before & after I bought them.

The first video is to be done for 2 weeks and it's about 20 min long. Super easy especially if you're used to working out. But she's a squat natzi, lol. She really gets your thighs working throughout this whole series. This video is like a warm up, to the others but is nice because you can build your intensity without killing yourself.

The second is to be done for 2 weeks also and it gets progressively harder, its about 40 min long. It also has resistance band training.

The third (2 weeks also) is way hard! lol. It kicks your ass, but you're sweating so much you know you're losing weight.

I like this series because about the time you learn the moves & then get bored with them (like all dvd's) then you move onto the next round. You find yourself really getting in shape and being able to keep up, it's a great feeling.

I didn't "see" that many results per say because I was about 200lbs when I started. I am now 166, but still flabby. These "results" are from 5 1/2 weeks of slim in 6 and atkins. I attribute most of it to Atkins however. I'm starting a new round though & hope to see my body tone up.

you can get them on ebay, amazon, or on beachbody.com

Thank you!

What a great 'review' - I really appreciate hearing more about what the actual workouts are like.

Sounds pretty good

Ya i enjoy it. The music sucks like all of them do, just use your ipod. They're easy to follow to. Basically its movements and squats. No dancy stuff.

You might try posting this in the Specific Exercise Plans section - I think there was a Slim in 6 thread there. I considered this program briefly but ultimately bought Jillian Michael's 30-day Shred and No More Trouble Zones - they were only $8 each on Amazon as opposed to $50-60 for SI6.
