Question Any suggestions?

Symptoms: Light headed, rapid heart, high blood pressure, depression, anxiety, fatigue, stop breathing at night, etc.

I had an echocardiogram done that came back negative. The doctor took blood to test my thyroid. She also gave me a jug and said that tomorrow they would call me and if the thyroid came out alright, that they want me to do a 24 hour urine collection starting Wednesday. She also stated to me that she would not tell me what it was for because she didn't want to scare me or worry me. Can we tell the doctor, "Duh"?

Anyone been here or had these symptoms or had this process done?

Default 24-hr urine test

The 24-hour urine test is to test for cortisol levels. Usually done if Cushing's disease is suspected (adrenal fatigue). Cushing's is relatively rare, so don't freak out. Just wait to see what the results are and go from there. That is pretty stupid that she wouldn't even tell you what they are testing for though! I hate docs who treat patients like mushrooms. (ie, keep you in the dark and feed you ...manure). Best of luck with your test results!!!
