Been busy the last couple of days.

And boy was it heaven not to worry about social engagements. Fitting in seats, bathroom stalls ect...

But one thing that is great about this is I am no longer running from the camera!

We went to see Mavis Staples last night (blues singer) and I had deliberately brought my iphone and had a gentlemen take a picture of my hubby and I before the concert started.

I was very happy to do have my picture taken. Not even trying to hide my body or fidgiting with my clothes to not show the rolls of flab...

Whoo Hooo... doing the happy dance

Oh, I HEAR you on that one! Looking back at vacation pictures, one might think my husband was a single father. I'm not in hardly any of them - and when I am it is because they caught me by surprise and so they are even more unflattering than they had to be. First time I was able to "suck it up" was last June- I'm a high school teacher and I had this little all-boys class that all wanted pictures of themselves in their Grad attire taken with me. I still cringed a little - especially when I saw the pix up on Facebook!- but I was able to.

Being able to push myself now during work outs with out feeling like my muscles are on fire..

I think part due to weightloss and part due to taking huge amounts of Vitamin D (I didn't have any in mysystem when it was tested)

Now I can get my heart rate up to 150... Feel a slight burn in my legs on the bike...

And still have crap loads of energy left over!

Just got done push myself in a 35 minute work out... Sweating, hyped and going God I missed that!

Whoo Hooo I am doing the happy dance all night long! Why cause i have energy baby

Wow Toni, you have lost 34 pounds good for you

It is such a great feeling, when you really start putting yourself first over society pressure or social norms. Bucking the system and saying nope this is what works for me and makes me feel good about myself!

And I am doing this completely alone! The BF took our son to Walmart last night and when I got home there were chips and oreos laying out. Totally not even tempted! I grabbed an apple (as I do EVERY night I come home from work), ate that and went to bed!

Me too. In my fattest picture I ever allowed to be taken of me - at well over 200 lbs - I tried to hide behind the kids. Didn't work too well.

In December we visited our daughter in Texas and went on a ride in a horse-drawn carriage. She took our picture and put it on Facebook. And it looked good!

I love that I was able to toss the cane I had to use, and the nsaid I was on for years, and no longer have chronic knee pain.

I really love that I keep having to order new clothes because I overestimate what size I need and because I'm now smaller than when I got married in 1995.
