Default Hi Y'all from South Cackilacki

Hey Everyone.

I moved to Myrtle Beach, SC in Aug of last year. I absolutely love it here! I lived in a very rural area in NW NC for 36 years so the amount of things to do and see here just boggles my mind. I thought since this is a much larger metro area than I was from maybe I could find a LC support group in the area. Anyone out there near the Grand Strand?

Thanks,
Tam

I don't know, but you can always start your own. A number of people have visited Dr Westman's group (first Tuesday of the month in Durham, NC) to see one and try it at home. Ideas have been...start with just a few friends who LC, ask them to bring more people, advertise in church, grocery bulletin boards, community penny saver type free papers, check Meet-UP and if none start your own, find a LC doctor or nutritionist who would sponsor one for clients, any "healthy living" or exercise groups at Parks and Rec or Y where you could find others interested in LC are some ideas. Good luck!

Thank you Jey100. I am so new to the area and this is such a transient area (snowbirds galore, lol) I was really looking to join in order to meet people. However, those are some good ideas and will keep them in mind.
