Default Malibu Hiking Anyone?

Anyone interested in hooking up in Malibu for a hike sometime? I know of a few amazing beautiful trails that I would love to get re-aquainted with.

The rules:
No flaking
Meet at Kanan exit by 7:00am (cant be later or it will get too hot too fast)
Must bring water preferably a water back pack
Should also have sunscreen if you burn and a hat/sunglasses
And....bug spray just to be on the safe side

Beginners hike is off of Mulhulland on the Encinal Backbone trail, starts across the street from the Fire house.

Its an "in and out" trail. Its all incline 1% to maybe 5% (at times) round trip is 7 miles. I used to be able to do it in just over 2 hours....now would be happy to do it in 3.

I know of other trails, but too out of shape at this time and would be a major disappointment.

Comment or inbox me if you are interested...would love a local hiking buddy

Will see a few "bikers" on this trail in the morning. It's the easiest trail I know of. There are others but they are "loops" and I would be petrified of getting us lost as I would be hosting LMAO. Any day is good except for Tuesday and Thursday.

Would so enjoy your company! Especially since you are familiar with the area. I just want to let you know that I am totally out of shape so I will be slow, but I really "NEED" yes "NEED" to make it to the fire road. It took me 3 tries to make it to the top 2 years ago and I want that feeling again!

If you are serious and don't mind a slow poke text/call me.

Diane~

You may want to remove your phone number, due to spam and such. I'm going to be busy for the next several weeks, Summer should make my schedule wide-open though. The fire road is a very easy goal.

If anyone else wants to go, I'd recommend a Camelback or similar with a little bit of Gatorade powder mixed in or something. It gets REALLY hot, and the sun is brutal!
