Default New Low Carb Vegetarian Book Coming Out!

I am so excited...maybe some of you have heard about this book, but this is the first time I'm hearing of it.

Once in a while I love doing a search on amazon.com for new low carb books. Guess what I found!!

The Low Carb Vegetarian by Margo Demello, due out in August 2004!

I am so excited, I can't wait! I believe this is the first book geared toward low carb vegetarians. Unfortunately, the book is so new, probably not published yet, there was no description, but if anyone knows about this, please fill me in! Low Carb Vegetarian books are long overdue.

Default New Low Carb Vegetarian Book coming out

Hi all,

I've never posted to this list before but just saw that my upcoming book was mentioned here, and wanted to thank you! I've been a vegetarian for 25 years and have been doing the low carb thing (mostly soy zone and also south beach) for the past year, and was frustrated that there wasn't a cookbook geared towards vegetarians. So my book will be out in August and I hope you all get a lot out of it.
Thank you!
Margo DeMello

Excellent! Can't wait to check it out (wish there had been one the last 8 days!).

And even better, it has brought the vegetarians out of hiding and back to the forum! : )

Maybe if we talk enough, we'll get our own mug at the bottom of the page, that says something a little more appropriate than "Eat Meat, Not Wheat" -- lol!

Today, I decided to go vegetarian/low-carb. I will definitely be looking for your book. I'm sure it will take me some time to figure out exactly how to convert everything in my kitchen to this way of eating. I hope your book also includes something for us beginners. :-)

I'll definitely be buying this book when it's available. I need all the help I can get.
I tried LC South beach, but it made me feel sluggish among other things. :P

Just wondering if anybody has bought this book yet? If so, what did you think about it?

Thumbs up Finally went all the way!

as of October 1st. I was a semi-vegetarian, but I have complete drop poultry. So I need all the support and buddies out there, so we can chat about this thing.

Hallelujah, I don't own a low carb veggie book. I just have to figure out how to convert. I haven't figured out how to omit eggs. Egg Replacers work well in muffins and pancakes, but nothing else that I've tried. I'm glad someone has written a cookbook more geared to our needs. Judy
