I have never had digestive issues,but have wondered and started to do more about the possibility that long term VLC has altered my "gut microbiome" so have been reading more about probiotics, inc. the new Brenda Watson Skinny Gut Diet. She recommends that a probiotic have at least 10 different strains, and you work up in amount depending on your reactions. That formula and other ones nutritionists recommend includes a high amount of Bifidobacteria. I have Not perceived any difference so this is not a strong recommendation, just passing on what some have said about which strains are good for gut health. The Nutritional Weight and Wellness ladies are always suggesting their Bifido formula as well for gut and immune support.

Actually mine is 16 strands with 66 billion organisms -- it's a Swanson brand.
