Post How much chromium?

Hi everyone, I've just received my order of chromium, and I'm wondering what is the best dosage for pcos and insulin resistance. The bottle is 1800 providing 200 chromium and suggests 1-2 tablets - is this conservative, should I be taking more?

Thanks

Lee

My Naturopath has prescribed a liquid chromium supplement that is 1000 mg per drop. And I take 1 drop per day in water.

Thanks, Natascha, from other things I've read, 1000mg seems to be the recommended dose.

Lee, what form of chromium is it? That makes a bit of a difference.

Hi Frisbena, its chromium picolinate, but I've just ordered some GTF chromium as I've read that this type is the best - what do you think?

1000 mcgs of Picolonate is fine. With GTF you would likely take a smaller amount but 3 times per day (200 x 3). Both are good, use the one you bought and then buy some GTF and compare how you feel.
