check out how many of the foods that cause bloating and abdominal pain are also candida forbidden foods:

Foods That Contribute to Gas Production
Legumes
Most beans, especially dried beans and peas, baked beans, soy beans, lima beans

Milk & milk products
Milk; ice cream; and cheese

Vegetables
Cabbage; radishes; onions; broccoli; Brussels sprouts; cauliflower; cucumbers; sauerkraut; kohlrabi; asparagus

Root vegetables
Potatoes; rutabaga; turnips

Fruits
Prunes; apricots; apples; raisins; bananas

Cereals, breads
All foods thst contain wheat and wheat products including cereals, breads, and pastries. Check labels.

Fatty foods
Pan-fried or deep-fried foods; fatty meats; rich cream sauces and gravies; pastries. (While fatty foods are not carbohydrates, they too can contribute to intestinal gas.)

I never suffered from IBS or any of that but where do I find the "right" candida diet list of dos and don'ts? I need to go to the store soon anyway.

I can understand how the combination of fat and carbs (especially starches) will cause gas and intestinal distress, as well as foods fried/deep-fried in highly processed oils containing trans fats. But I don't see how unrefined fats and oils, including the fat which Mother Nature has seen fit to attach to meat, would cause gas .. or contribute to intestinal Candida.

Could you please provide your reference for this information, and any studies or science to back up this statement?

thanks

Doreen

Default gas and vegetables

This is the site I pulled the information from: http://www.gicare.com/pated/edtgs12.htm
I certainly can't vouch for all the information, and I would love even better information. The information on the gassy veggies and fruit, however, does sound credible. I don't know about the fats, but I can say that I get intense intestinal distress upon eating fried foods. They even removed my gallbladder. It didn't help.

whats up people. You know, when i was at the health food store the other day looking for good yogurts and stuff. The clerk pointed out these pill scalled primadophilus, only five bucs. She said they would take the place and are clinically proven to fight digestion better than certain others. With something like this in mind, maybe a person could get back to eating their favorite vegetables...Like brussel sprouts, and asparagus, and... tofu???
