Plan: Semi low carb??, PP?

Question How to start?? book coming from Amazon today!!!

I am still trying to find the right diet plan to stick with. I found that I lose weight quicker with low carb but I love potatoes! Potatoes are always a no-no so it is difficult .
My friend is trying a new plan where you simply count carbs and she said the rule is 30-30-45 (breakfast-lunch-dinner) with a total of 105 carbs for the day. Has anyone heard of this ?? I am wondering if this plan (Schwarzbein)is one that would work like that? I have ordered books from Amazon but they have not been delivered yet and I am very anxious to get started. She said the diet was one that a doctor had recommended to help with her pre-diabetes symptoms. She lost a lot of weight so it worked for her but I don't have as much to lose and I am wondering if 105 carbs sounds like too much??? I know I am rambling but I just don't know where to start!!!!

Hi Newbr1, actually in Schwarbein you can have 25 carbs per meal including 2 snacks so it is about 125 a day. (this in her last book, and she is a doctor)
This plan is very nice for me, you get to eat real food. It is not very low in carbs.
But you have to read the book to see all the things the plan offers. For health, weight loss, everything. Because this plan is more for healing and health, and then come the weigh loss with it. So it is very complete
I think on the long run it is easier to be able to eat a reasonable quantity of carbs.. instead of too little.
I followed the zone for about 4 years and maintained well, but there is more work and also less carbs in their plan.
To me this seems more natural, the way I think it should be living .
But it also seems that many people can need a lot of time to heal and not start losing soon.. And that's me... God willing you will be able to lose weight in the same moment you start the plan. Specially if you know you can lose waight easy you won't have this problem.
I wish you the best,
Sincerely
M.
