Hello low carbers;
just finished reading the above low carb diet advised to a London man in the 1860's and he recorded a steady decline in weight keeping away from milk, bread, butter, and starchy carbs, veggies.
There is no m ention of Pizza, pasta, bagels, corn, french fries, but, they were not part of the scene in 1862.
{Nor was soda }
How interesting, he mentions that he had the means to eat that way becasue it was more costly than the usual bread, butter and milk that most ordinary peoples ate.
Take a look at this as the first diet to restrict the staff of life:BREAD
