Lorena, fat should comprise approximately 70% of your daily calories.

If you're eating 1500 calories a day and 90g of protein (90 x 4 = 360)or 360 calories from protein that leaves you 1140 calories for carbs and fat.

If you restrict carbs to 30g as per Protein Power that is 120 calories for carbs (30g x 4 = 120) leaving you with 1020 calories of fat, or 113g which would be about 68% of your calories from fat.

Take care of your protein requirements first. Follow the charts in PP to make sure you are getting adequate protein. Next, if you are in Phase I intervention, make sure that you are getting your 30 grams of carbohydrates in the form of vegetables. Put dressing on your salads, butter on your vegetables and cook with olive oil and butter. There are lots of suggestions in PP for menus and recipes.

You have starved yourself, and the weight gain you are experiencing is probably your muscle mass building again. PP is a very easy plan to follow. Take care of your protein and carbs, and cook and season with good fats.

Read Nat’s Journal for more ideas about what you should be eating.

Now I understand. You have read PP LifePlan. To get you off to a better start, read just plain, old Protein Power. PPLP is the icing on the cake, or... er... the fat on the meat!
