Thanks Kelly, and congrats to you, too!

I really enjoy cycling. I jogged from age 11 until 48 when arthritis set in, and always enjoyed running. Walking just wasn't the same and I had given up on aerobic exercise until my brother in law talked me into trying cycling. I have to say that this is as good or better than running. All the aerobic benefits without the pounding. I wish I had started years ago!

Wow Kelly! You go!
I am beginning finally today. Here at the house is Denise Austen's "Sculpt Your Body With Balls and Bands" book - there is a ball and band! I'll modify of course. It is a 12 minute a day 5 days a week workout and I'll do that, plus 15 min of modified something else, like dance (no knee involvement though). Of course I'm only here til Thurs but hey - it's something!

Okay..think I'm finally ready to join..have worked up to an hour in the pool three times a week..I swim (at old lady speed) laps for 30 minutes ... then work my arms with the water bells and walk on the underwater treadmill..on my non-pool days I concentrate on raising the total on my pedometer a little each day..None of which, I realize, is exactly aerobic but at 72 it's what I can do FOR NOW...Hopefully I qualify????
THANKS !!
Lynn

Welcome Lynn
Of course it qualifies, I bet you would be surprised at how much your heart rate elevates doing pool work and its so easy on your joints

Hey Kat
Did you get a chance to try the Balls and Bands? Sounds rather dirty don't you think of course that's just my dirty mind...it could also sound like Ballroom dancing to Big Bands!

Good going Stan.
I'm away right now but I intend on using the hotel gym so I should get plenty of time in this week.

Did my first 30 min run but the gym was so hot that it was really tough work and my face was flushed for an hour afterwards
