Avatar is 100x100 pixels but file is too big?

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

The pixels are 100x 100 but when I try to upload it says my file is too big.

Thoughts???

It has to be 100 x 100 pixels or 19.5 KB, whichever is smaller. Dimensions and file size are two different things. My guess is your pic is greater than 19.5 KB.

I sometimes use Photoshop Elements to make my avatars, but I've had good success using Shrink Pictures, as well. (There are other sites like that online, but they don't all work with Macs, so I haven't used them myself.)

Ive never had trouble uploading a pic I dont know how to shrink the pic
any suggestions ??
