Choice of the word " profitable" seems out of place. I can see two meanings but why is "profitable "relavent. Clearly need to read whole paper to fully understand.
Otherwise, imho, Keto and MD are far more similar when compared to the Std American diet. While MD has rice and other rich carb foods, its not even close to the 300 carbs recommmended for diabetics by dieticians for years. ( I hear the current recommendation is half that now.)
