Hi Kellie,
I am also Californian, living in Scotland... I have lived here for about 16 years , so *this* is home to me now.

You were saying about never having met another Scottish low-carber... i am doing the diet at the moment with a girl i work with (i think she is doing better than i am.. bummer!), and whenever people ask us what diet we are doing and we tell them "Atkins", the answer is almost always... oh, i tried that years ago and lost alot of weight. But for some reason they gave it up.

A couple of the lassies at work email me every day to see what i have been eating... i think they are interested, but worried about what they could eat... i hope i am showing them a good example of the variety of stuff you can have. They always seem to be very curious about it, but maybe not ready to take the plunge yet!

All the best on your studies...

Just bumping this thread up to see if we can get more Scotland-based low-carbers to come out of the woodwork.

I was a member here a LONG time ago (4 years) and have just come back and getting ready to start my new way of eating tomorrow... getting rid of all the Easter choccies and other HC stuff today!

Default Hello Scotland!

Hi
I live in Crianlarich, about an hour north of Glasgow!
Nice to know that there are others in Scotland!
I have tried low carb but have never been able to stick to it, but this time I am allowing some low carb 'frankenfoods' into my menus (stallone puddings, atkins shakes, sero bars) really just for the convenience. Carbs per day are usually under 10 net carbs with lots fat added in to keep me full up!
So far Ive done 3 weeks and have lost 6 lbs!
Slow, I know, but 3 weeks is pretty good for me!
Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I have been on this WOE for almost a year now and I can honestly say I would never go back to eating loads of carbs, I feel so much better this way and I rather like being so much lighter lol. I'm in Edinburgh although from Dumbarton originally. A nice tip is the gluten free sausages in Adsa its 0.9g per 100g so you can eat the whole pack of sausages for under 2g. Just check the back tho coz in other supermarkets their gluten free sausages have rice flour in it but asda's doesnt

Hi there!!

I'm a fellow Scot from Glasgow! Just started Atkins, a few days ago and am seeing results already!

Morissons have Debbie & Andrews Harrogate Sausages, they are delicious! and 0.1g or 0.2 Carbs in 100g!!
