how fast is too fast???
ummm just a quick question... i started out at 210lbs ( im in my second week of induction) and i got on the scales today and im down to 194.5 ! woohoo... just wanted to know how fast of a weight loss is too fast??????
Holy cow - did you lop off an arm?
I would caution you not to expect (or desire!) such results on an ongoing basis. Sometimes the initial weight seems to fly right off (called a whoosh) but your body will stabilize and the rest should go at a slower but steady pace.
Good luck!
A lot of the first pounds lost is water but there is fat in the total too. So Iowa girl is right: the next week will probably show little or no loss. But that's normal and not at all bad.
You have had a wonderful beginning. Now prepare to patiently and persistently follow the plan you have chosen. Try to avoid the high carb stuff (carbage) for as long as possible, because you will never again lose as easily as on this 'first try'.

from what i understand, watching calories is not as important as watching the carbs. of course that doesn't mean become a glutton and eat and eat and eat. usually by eating more dense foods rich in protein and fat and low in carbs, you'll inevitably be consuming less calories than normal. you probably know this, but foods high in carbs like bread and sweets, also are high in calories and you stay hungry.
