Saturday: zero zip NADA.

Lower back was not about to plank, yesterday. OTOH, I got in nearly four miles of walking around the Uptown Art Fair, and wandering through Uptown. An absolutely beautiful evening!

I agree, if your lower back was not about to plank, so be it!

Makes logical sense to listen to our bodies, MS! I don't really buy into the whole "no pain/no gain" exercising thingy!

IMHO, if we hurt ourselves, we are less likely to continue an activity OR we have to wait until we heal to resume it again...

Good job on the 4-mile walk around the Fair, BTW!!!

No planks again yesterday. But OH! the side garden looks so much better after I made a huge pile of weeds in it.

If I can teach my lower back to strengthen itself with bending and picking weeds, and doing yoga, I'm pretty sure it'll stop whining when I restart planking.

Happy Monday Planking Peeps!

I did my full routine yesterday, up to 20 reverse crunches now which is awesome!

It does seem a little echoey in here...... but we Plankers will stay strong.

I started reading Taubes "Why We Get Fat" on the weekend in-between my walks and chores. I like how easy of a read it is.

I know you'll be back to plankin' real soon, MS! Just take your time with your lower back!

I finished "Why We Get Fat" over the w/e. I agree it was easy to read. And an excellent read for sure, IMHO!

My goodness. No more planks for a while, and the weeding, etc will be slow and painful.

I very gracefully fell off my bike yesterday. Yeah. I know. Sprained my right thumb, bruised the pad under my right pinkie, making holding things very interesting.

Worst is that I did SOMETHING right under my left armpit that aches, and, if I cough, sneeze or try to blow my nose, HURTS.

I have an appt with my primary in about an hour.

Stupid people tricks. Bah.

Awww MickiSue, so sorry you are hurt. Big gentle hug and hope you get an answer about what is wrong with your side.

I was running a little late again this morning so only had time for half of my workout. I re-set my alarm for 10 minutes earlier so I don't run out of time any more.

It's not terrible; I bruised my ribs. So now I can give the niacin a real trial: see if its ability to direct red cells will direct them to the injury so I heal faster.

I'm also going to take two a day, for a while.

I've had bruised ribs. They heal but it takes some time. Let us know how the niacin works. I'm definitely curious.

Full workout this morning after getting up earlier. Even with the extra 10 minutes, I still barely got everything done this morning!!!

Go Team

MM: Awesome job on the full workout yesterday morning! I hear you about "getting up early" and still barely getting everything accomplished!

Have a totally terrific Thursday, ladies!

Good morning Plankers! Happy Thursday.

My abs were pretty sore this morning so I gave myself a break. Back at it tomorrow though.

I was back planking again this morning despite my abs still feeling sore. I made myself do my full workout but didn't try to add anything more today. Perhaps when what I currently do is easier and I am not sore I will add/change something.

Go Team!!!

Jo, you have done a stellar job of increasing your core strength with planks.

I fear I'll need to go FAR backwards, once my ribs heal enough to start again.

DANG.
