Default And sometimes we relapse

I went and found the success story I posted...my maintenance lasted, i eve ran a full marathon in 2014. Then. My life changed, I took a job outside my house after a decade of staying home running a daycare, cooking during the day, doing laundry during naps. The balancing act was really hard when I had a job, but I kind of managed. I still worked out & mostly ate right. I wasn’t at goal anymore, but I was comfortable at 170ish. I went to curves, you can even find me in their runner ups for woman of the year...but then I took a manager job and balance went to the toilet.

I am not at my highest, but I am very close to 200lbs.

So I am back. I started Atkins again, Induction...and for whatever crazy reason, just like last time, I’ve lost very little. My plan is to stay the course and keep going.

Glad this group is still around!!!

Admin jobs put your health down the toilet. It sounds like you are not doing too terrible, just need to find some balance.

Welcome back, Tara! I doubt any of us does this perfectly. But to keep trying is the key. And you seem to have the hang of that.

Welcome back! There are lots of us with that story, and what's important is that you are back and ready to be healthy again. Compared to home, office jobs can be deadly for trying to eat healthy--they're full of office lunches and birthday parties and happy hour with margaritas. But as time goes on, more and more people are understanding that sugar and carbs are bad for us, and it gets much easier to just say "Oh, I can't have sugar," or "Oh, I'm so sorry, but I can't eat that--health stuff, you know..." So, there's less weird questioning and push-back from co-workers.
