Default Fat fast

Just rounding up my first day of trying the fat fast, for the second time... First time I made it 3 days I think, lost 7 pounds... Obviously gained it all back (grr) but it was all my own fault, I haven't exaclty kept away from sugar and white flour, or potatoes or pasta... so, it's not like I gained it all back in a day, it worked, and would have prob stayed off if I did what your suppose to do...

Today I've eaten: 2 fried eggs for breakfast, 1 portion of macadamia nuts for lunch, 2 hardboil eggs with some butter on them (yuck.. I hate fat) Another portion of nuts, A piece of pretty highfat cheese just...

I feel pretty sick... When yesterday I was craving everything (including stuff with sugar) right now I feel like if I could eat tomatoes and spinach along with my horrible eggs and cheese, that would be great...

People who have experience with the fat fast, what should I do, I don't want to slow down weight loss... Will I if I eat veggies?? I crave veggies... Maybe I should just jump onto South Beach of something like that, that I can stick to..
Probleme is, I can't decide whether SB or Atkins is better... I like that you can have real cheese on Atkins, I don't like that you can't have enough veggies from the beginning... Any tips??

Oh, and aswell, what about things like mustard - my mustard brand has white wine in it.. Even a thing like vinegar - I mean, it's made from wine.. Where I live there aren't any atkins products, or anything lowcarb (made lowcarb) sold...

Wink Veggies when FFing

I have never surrendered my veggies while FFing. Of course I did not overeat them: my salad of the day was a cup of romaine lettuce with 1/4 of avocado and two spoons of any fatty salad dressing. Otherwise I would go for on tbs of virgin olive oil and 1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar, fress pepper and 1/2 of chopped garlic.... yummy.

Hi everyone,
I've been doing CAD, which, as a way on maintaining is fabulous for me! However, I have regained a bit and so I want to lose about 20 lbs.
So, this morning I started a kind of combination of CAD and Fat fast.
Would someone mind looking at what Ive eaten today to see if it looks ok?

cs coffee & cream

cm 2 egg & brie omlette

rm 2 oz macadamia nuts
sf Jelly & cream
coffee & cream

My percentages are 85% fat, 4& carbs, 12% protein, 1035 cals
It really doesn't look like a lot of food, but I have not been hungry.
Would be grateful for your opinions
Thanks
Jacquie

looks good. If you start to feel weak and like you "can't make it" add a little protein. Not advocating cheating on a fat fast.. but rather than blow it because of how you feel, eat some protein. Same goes for if you have a very active or exercise intense day. Only mentioning this because of the common complaint of feeling crappy when people do a fat fast.
Good Luck

oh! You might want to supplement with fish oil.

My third FF's first day finishing up.. Have had 4 "meals", might have one more if I'm hungry but I don't feel like I will be and it's almost 9.30 now so... I HATE macadamia nuts, but I need to eat them because it's pretty much those or eggs, and I can't eat that many eggs... eggs are sick to anyway without ketchup or something like that... I had brie on my first fast, but just the thought of that makes me feel terrible so...
I also need to eat the disgusting nuts because not knowing what they taste like, I bought 4 bags (not super big bags, but they have more nuts in them than I thought) a while back, and they were really expensive... 4 bags were 100 kr (swedish money) which is about 15 dollars... I've only managed to have one bag so far (I found them in a speciality store, nobody has them here, and I think I'm one of the few Swedes whose ever heard of them...) They're so disgusting I can't chew them, so today I chopped them really tiny, put them in a glass of water and drank them... even like that it was nasty, the water took their taste straight away...
No pain no gain is such a true saying...

what about a small vegetable salad with a measured amount of oils and parmesan or other cheese in it? Some olives with the oill... there are more palatable ways!

I used to eat a blob of sour cream with 1/2 oz bacon and some chopped green onion on it

Also, 1hard boiled egg with 1tb mayonnaise and 1/2 oz bacon and some chopped green onion

I'm really into the small salads...

I totally cracked up when I read your post re. the macadamia nuts
How's it going now? What day are you on and what is your progress? I'm thinking about doing the fat fast after 14 days of induction and only 4 lbs lost

hi there Frooty, welcome aboard

According to Dr Atkins, for a woman with less than 20 lbs to lose, a loss of 4 lbs over the 2-week Induction period is the average. You're right on target!

The fat fast is for persons with extreme metabolic resistance, who experience NO loss of weight or inches after 4-6 weeks of following the diet strictly.

Congratulations on your success so far May you have continued success on your lowcarb journey.

Hello Doreen, thanks for the advice. However, I lost all 4 #'s during the first 4 or 5 days. Now it's day 16 and I haven't lost anything since. Can't get the keto strips to change colour to save my life???!!!

Default How To Do FatFast?

Can anyone tell me how to do this fat fast? For how long? I remember reading (but can't find the book) that it was like 5 small meals, 200 cals of fat each? I'm in a stall and would like to try this for 2 days...
