Default Do you guys track food/calories?

I was having great success in the beginning but have not lost anything in TWO weeks now...kind of discouraged. should I track my calories to make sure that I am not eating too much? I don't go too crazy at my rm, and my cm's are always low-carb (just a few carbs from veggies/salad dressings).

Last nights rm:

low sugar spaghetti sauce with meatballs
1/2 cup high fiber spaghetti noodles
salad
Asparagus sauteed in olive oil
4 thin mints

Cm's are typically...eggs for breakfast and salads with protein for lunch.

hi-
I don't track, but I also don't follow CAD. If I was eating your meal for RM I'd have either the pasta or cookies- not both. Maybe try and balance your RM more?
I had plenty of weeks I didn't lose- but I have been OP for years now. Stopped losing after a year and after increasing my carbs.

Thanks! I will try that and see if it helps. The funny thing is that I figured out my calories for the past week and most days, including yesterday, I was at about 1300 calories...should definitely be low enough for me to lose, at the weight I am right now. I don't get it...

1300 calories!? IMO, You're not eating enough and your body went into starvation mode. That's what happens. You stop losing.

I absolutely do track my calories/carbs. At age 72 I have battled to get a significant loss (need to drop about 30). I have found that I can lost if I stay at or under 1200 cals/day. I keep my carbs at about 80 or less and pretty much stick to CAD/CALP. I am only 5'2" and don't exercise a lot, maybe 3xwk. I can go over 1200 cals. for a day or two but then have to drop down. I don't care what they say about starvation mode, it isn't true! Now if I was young and very active I could go up, yes, but that isn't for me. Get to know yourself. Take the Medifast diet for instance. 80-100 carbs a day and 800-1000 calories a day. Often I follow a JUDD week and it works. But, yes, if you aren't losing, track it. Teri's menus were my inspiration to be honest and maybe if you track for a bit you can then stop when you feel in charge. If you weight more then eat more for awhile, but if you weigh less then try staying at 1500/day and see what happens. I used Medifast as an example because they are geared to people who are very overweight. For me it isn't can I keep it off, it's can I even lose it. Everyone's different. I have discovered that huge amounts of fat won't work. I am beginning to feel better eating this way and I am losing as well. I've read the posts here for a long time and have tried pure LC but can't stay on it because I don't fee that great.
