Default Lorrie's LCGP V2 Journal

Friday - Nov 23, Week 1, Day 1

Regular LC

Breakfast:
4 oz leftover turkey
3 coffees
3 oz cream
3 sweeteners

Dinner:

8 oz leftover turkey
1 C broccoli
3 T mayo
diet Coke w/1 oz cream

1 Crispbread
1 T cream cheese
20 almonds

Total Calories: 1960
Protein grams: 133 - 27%
Fat grams : 150 - 70%
Carb grams:19g - 3%
Fiber grams: 5g

I hope these values are what I am supposed to post here and I hope I did it right.

I made it through the first day. I didn't eat breakfast til almost 11, so it sort of threw off my whole day. I really wasn't hungry and just lost track of time, so I had to eat more in the evening to make up for lost time. I will have to plan my day better.

Stillman

It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be today. I wasn't even that hungry considering I didn't really eat that much.

3 C black coffee
turkey wing, no skin
10 oz grilled fresh tuna
1/2 C panir
5 oz skinned dark and light meat turkey
1 C Earl Grey, straightTotal
(edit) 1 C Boston lettuce, raw

Calories: 889
Protein grams: 173g - 83%
Fat grams : 14g - 15%
Carb grams:4g - 2%
Fiber grams: 1

I think my fat percentage was a little high? It was the turkey. There won't be any in the house for the next Stillman day, so my fat intake should be lower.

Forgot to post my start weight: 170 lbs.

(edit)Forgot that I had 1 C of lettuce, too. I ate it plain, and did it ever taste good!!

4 C black coffee

1 C Boston lettuce, plain
1 C Earl Grey tea, plain

Today was harder than yesterday's Stillman! I think cuz I ran out of green veggies....... I actually picked out enough green beans from the mixed frozen vegetable package in my freezer!! Desperate times call for desperate measures, !!

The lamb/okra dish I made today was REALLY good and I would have drank the leftover broth (after skimming it in the morning) tomorrow, if there was any leftover! I will have to better prepare myself next time!

I was 9 cals short of my goal, which made my cals per lb just under 10. I will do better on my next CB day! But, I hit the carb count right on!

It's late and I'm sleepy.

Lor

(edit) I forgot that I had 1 T of mayo with the burger patty. So, that would change my stats a little and would put me over the 10x mark. Yay for me!!

Stillman

Today was truly a fast. I was too busy to think about eating, although I did stick to Stillman and I did make Ruthie's Lemon Chicken - YUMMY !! Last night I did try making Doreen's Sweet Thingy, although I didn't see the chill part and had a lumply, layered thingy this morning! I was so smart and I just through it all back into the food processor and whipped it up until it was smooth. It was SO much easier going down, although I did have to add a little more sweetener to make it palatable enough for me! I was WAY below what is deemed to be healthy in the way of calories, so tomorrow will truly be a calorie boost day for me. I'm actually looking forward to my veggies!

3 C black coffee
1 C Earl Grey tea
10.5 oz lemon/garlic chicken breasts, no skin
1/2 bowl of custard thingy (Doreen's)
water, water, water*

Calories: 445 - YIKES!!
Protein grams: 81 - 78%
Fat grams : 8 - 18%
Carb grams: 5
Fiber grams: 0

*I don't usually include the amount of water that I drink, since I'm always drinking, (water, that is) and it's not a problem for me to get in the required amount and more.

More tomorrow..........

Haven't had much computer time, but I have been tracking what food gets ingested. I am almost through a whole week and it hasn't been that bad. I am making some snacks though, to help me get through the next week, that seems to be what I am craving the most. I guess that ole sweet tooth ain't goin nowhere!

Carbs look much better today and protein looks good, too. I think I can do this for three more weeks. I've got my eye on an outfit for Christmas that I'd like to get for a party that we're giving just before Christmas.

Thumbs up hi Lorrie

Down 2 lbs, that's terrific!! Oh, I hope this project, and the protein fast & green veggie days continue to work for you the remaining 3 weeks.

It goes by fast, I just put in my own project journal that I'm starting week 3 myself.

Take care, and continued success to you!

Doreen

Doesn't look like much food, does it? I did eat twice today, really wasn't hungry. I guess that's the point of this fast, right? I added an egg white to the lemon marinade of the chicken and a little bit more water. It was good and gave it some oomf.

18 oz ground beef fried
3 C (raw) spinach
1 C string beans
3 oz lamb
1/2 C brussel sprouts

Not too bad of a day, although I realized that I shouldn't include the carbs from the coffee into my total 25g veggie allowance. Didn't click until I was laying in bed and going over the events of the day . Will take that into count next CB day.

I modified Doreen's sweet thingy slightly. I used sf jello instead of plain gelatin. I had a small taste (would that be considered cheeting? It WAS accidental and I didn't realize what I had done until I has swallowed!!!) and can't wait until tomorrow to try it!! Is that kooky? Actually looking forward to a Stillman day???

Hi Lorrie,

Not really. You're looking forward to that sweet thingy and you know it'll be a 'calming' day so it's gonna be a wonderful LC day. You're doing great!

Stillman/lean protein

roast chicken (1 breast, both legs and thighs)
Sweet Thingy - 1 C panir, 1 pkg sf jello, 1 egg white, water

The Sweet Thingy was good and had just enough flavor to keep my sweet cravings at bay. I was more hungry today and ate nearly the whole chicken! Looking forward to a more filling food day tomorrow. I drank even more water than normal, was really thirsty.

My fat was a little high today, but that was probably because I ate more this Stillman time around.

According to my scales, I'm down another 3 lbs!!! Is that possible??? I'll take my scales side and believe it!!!!! YIPPEEE!!!My goal is three lbs closer, now!!!

Looking forward to a dairy day!

Was I a little piglet today or what? It sure doesn't feel like I stuffed myself, but written down it looks like a LOT!!! And only 15g of carbs!!! Amazing, ain't it??

I finally got the almond cookies down right and they were FANTASTIC!!!! I think I might make some more tomorrow and freeze them for easy snacking on LC days.

Not having dairy at all for four consecutive days and then having dairy is like a real treat. It makes me appreciate lc-ing all the more! Gotta love that heavy cream!!
