Default Newbie Triple Digiter Here

Hi All. I have triple digits to lose, so I thought I would join this space. I started LC'ing about 2 weeks ago at 315lbs. My goal is 200lbs. I joined the forum last week and so far it has been a great experience. So many nice people with great advice and very inspiring.

I stumbled across this place and it is really nice to see folks in the same boat as me. It certainly makes this journey a little easier.

Thanks,

Chris

Welcome Chris. This TDC area is a special place in this forum. Most who post here have a completely different perspective on weight loss compared to those who just need to lose 20 pounds to fit their 'skinny' jeans again. We have a long road ahead of us to reach our goals and it helps to get some encouragement along the way. The good news is that many have lost the weight and keep it off. Some of them continue to post here. I want to be a long-term success story, too - so I want to be sure to learn all I can along the way. The statistics say that I am very unlikely to take it off and keep it off. I want to prove the statistics wrong.

Thanks for the welcome! You are right, us folks who need to lose big numbers should have a special place. Like you, I thrive off of doing something that supposively cannot be done! I took a few months tinkering with plans in the hopes of finding something I can truly consider a new way of life instead of just another diet. Atkins thus far has hands down won the evaluation. I am not a sweets, Pasta, or potato guy so LC'ing seems to be the best fit for me. I do MISS simple things like a good sandwich. Turkey on Rye Bread may be my favorite food on earth! Tough giving that up, but I feel great so far.

Awesome job by the way on your success thus far. You are on your way!

Thanks again for the welcome!

Chris
