Default looking for a cole slaw recipe

Can anyone help me out with a cole slaw recipe? I've never made it before. I am trying to find alternate picnic type/barbecue type recipes to serve with the country pork style ribs which are SOOOO GOOD!

Hi. Do you know how to use the search function? Click search at the top of the page and type in your key word(s). "Slaw" works in this case. Select the Kitchen forums, then hit "go".

Here are the cole slaw recipes:

My favorite, and the one that tastes the most like KFC's

1 head green cabbage, shredded
1/2 small onion, shredded
1/4 of a green pepper, chopped
1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
5 shakes of worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp Equal
ground pepper

I do all the shredding in the food processor and make all my veggies small, probably barely bigger than rice.

Mix all and chill a few hours.

Cool

I found this recipe on Sherrie's Low Carb Recipes. I used the finely chopped coleslaw mix. I thought that the Lemon juice sounded like a bit much, but it was great. My family loved it, even the non LC.

I also used Dukes Mayo, No carbs, and added a little Mt. Olive Splenda Sweet Relish. Yummy!!!

Sherrie's Coleslaw (make the day ahead)
slaw: 35 carbs total 6 servings ~ 5.8 carbs per serving

1 large cabbage head shredded thinly, about 6 cups (13.14 carbs minus fiber)
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise (8.91 carbs)
1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice (6.91 carbs)
1/4 cup Splenda (6 carbs)

Mix the wet ingredients and pour over shredded cabbage. Mix well, and place in the refrigerator for one hour. Mix the slaw again making sure its all coated. The cabbage will be starting to wilt. I have a Tupperware bowl I prepare mine in, and I just take it our a few times and shake it a few times. Slaw is best when it sits overnight, so make the day ahead!

I mix a bag of preshredded cabbage, equal parts of mayo and blue cheese dressing, and a cup of bacon pieces.

Also, quartered grape tomatoes add good color and flavor
