Default 20 pound loss then stall

I started lc on Dec 28, 2001 and lost 20 pounds my frist 3 weeks. I have not lost any weight in the past week and I am getting worried. I take in about 15-20 carbs a day and drink as much water as I possibly can. Is this normal? If I stick with it should I see a weight loss start again in the near future?

Thanks,

Havuk

Also,

I have been eating these low carb bars from AdvantEdge that claim 2 carbs per bar and at the bottom there is a notation that says

"glycerine and oligofructose are included in thetotal calorie but are not included as carbs"

Is this a way to cheat on the carb count? Should I cut these things out?

Havuk, I think you just answered your own question Try a search for "Low Carb Bars" or check out the thread called "Hot Links" under Newbies' Questions by Karen. So called low carb bars are discussed there.

The thing is, that some people - rumour has it - can do OK with them. Their body does not recognize these ingredients as carbs.

This is part of the LC learning experience. You learn what is right for you! You'll be back on track in no time!
