Default Fibro cure?

Am I chasing rainbows or do people get rid of fibro? I'm spending a small fortune on alternative care as my GP is not interested and am not feeling that much better. I've had it for over 17 years.

Will I ever feel well again?

Wink we can but hope

I too have suffered with fibro for over 20 years and it is depressing to think we have to live in so much pain for the rest of our lives

As you are in UK might I suggest you try Seatone.. its green lipped muscle extract (sounds ghastly) found in all chemists in vitamin section. It does wonders for the joints. I am not a pill popper and 'forget' to take it (probably just fibro fog LOL).. in fact its been a few years since I have had it and recently my mum mailed some to me in Canada and already it is calming a really bad flare I am presently having.

If anyone in Canada knows where I can buy it here please let me know as I have searched the drug stores to no avail..

I know how you feel, I have been reading 'cures' on the internet and it would cost thousands to buy all the supplements reccomended and they would be a meal in itself!

This is a terrific forum the only one I have found dealing with fibromyalgia and its soo good to talk to people who understand. Thats half the battle I think is getting friends and family to appreciate just how much pain we are enduring in our day to day lives without sounding like a moaning minnie.

gentle hugs

I've had fibro for 13 years and in the past 16 months, I have been seeing a physician who practices integrative medicine. My improvement has been remarkable. For years I tried everything, even traveling all the way across the United States to see a specialist who helped in a limited way. A lot of what my current doctor does is similar to the protocol that Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum (physician, fibro researcher, author, speaker and fellow "fibromite") has developed. He offers and on-line program that you might want to check out.

The biggest thing that I have learned about fibromyalgia, however, is that everyone who has it is different. So that means whatever treatment that I might be having success with may not necessarily work for you. Teitelbaum's program tailors the treatment to the individual patient and that's the advantage it has over others. You don't waste your time and money on supplements/medications that you may not even need.

Here's the link to Dr. Teitelbaum's website: https://www.endfatigue.com/home.nsf

Keep on plugging away! I know it's exhausting and frustrating, but I'm sure glad I did.

I certainly wish you all the best!
