Ugh! This used to be a lot easier. Meaning I could get away with more. I didn’t track very well yesterday so I probably ate a lot more than I thought.

CaCo3Girl - my heart goes out to you. You are going through so much right now. Glad you checked in.

Ang - Wow! You are doing amazing for being so busy.

Thanks, no I wasn’t aware of that. Guess I don't really care what plan people use to lose, as long as they are trying and being honest about their ups and downs, what’s working and what’s not and why, ya know? Also finally got used to that site and this one doesn’t seem to get easier to use. Would rather just go to one site. I like the playground and main lobby over there as well. Hope we can move back over, any forum is fine with me. Had no idea all that was going on behind the scenes. Thanks kit.

Caco, so good to hear from you, I’m so sorry about your Mom and sons health and other problems, I surely hope and pray things improve for you soon. Are you still dating? Last I remember you had s nice guy around...

I have a lapband. Yesterday evening I got some food stuck. I have a PB which is sort of like vomiting but not like when you are sick. It happened twice. I was hurting but it wasn't bad. Today I was still hurting and couldn't keep any food down at lunch. Now I need to see my doctor and possibly have revision surgery. Our insurance won't cover the revision beyond the removal (at least a I hope so). I'm still hurting and just drinking protein shakes and keto ice cream.

DH is asking to go out to dinner this evening and I said I literally can't eat anything. Last night I had keto ice cream and it was fine while the evening before didn't feel very good. So that's a good sign.

I'm waiting out the weekend doing liquids. That is what his prescription would have been anyway. IF its still bad Monday, I will call and make an appointment. The problem is that my original surgeon is no longer in my network so seeing him will be $150 cash pay plus the likely upper GI xray he will want to do. THAT I'm not sure if his imaging location is in my network or not. I might just see a different doctor in my network. Even though the bariatric surgery isn't covered by my insurance, at least the doctor and imaging would be. And I can start the ball rolling to get a revision if that is what I choose to do. I've already contacted a surgical weight loss doctor in my area and waiting for the cash pay pricing information via email. Once I get that I can make an appointment. Services for my complications MIGHT be covered with insurance IF the doctor and hospital are in network.

Ang - I’ve been reading about your situation and wanting to show concern but I’ve been having some trouble posting on my phone. I really hope you feel better soon. You should be in deep ketosis after this which will be nice but pain is no good. I really hope it passes soon.

Sosumi - where are you? Hope you’re OK.

I had a bad day yesterday. I guess it was last supper syndrome. I wasn’t going to weigh today but I think I will after all. I went grocery shopping yesterday and I’m going to try something a little different for a week or two (until I get passed some stressful events). I’m such a whimp anymore, the slightest little thing stresses me out. So I don’t expect quick losses but I want to keep my eye on things none the less.

Well, could have been worse. My temporary plan will be higher carb but focusing on lower calories but absolutely no sugar.

Heidi - how are you doing? Still struggling to get back to it? Don’t forget how much you were enjoying those raw veggies and dip. I’m going to try really hard to incorporate those too for when I get really hungry for a snack. I love them too. The only reason I don’t eat them more often is laziness which is pretty bad, right? How hard is it to rinse and chop a couple of celery stalks?

Hi gang! Sorry it's been a few days. Just really busy.

CaCO - good to hear from you. Sorry your mom is still so ill and all the issues with your son. Still sending prayers your way!

Ang - oh gosh, sorry to hear of your troubles too.

Kit - hey, it's ok, you are still coming back here and you are not giving up.

Heidi - yay! great to hear from you. Glad you had such wonderful travels. You will get back on track.

My weight is not moving! I made a concerted effort to make us a nutritious dinner every day this week! I even made venison burrito bowls, one of our favorites! That fed us two nights and was super yummy!

Today, dad and I trimmed his poor rosebush, she looks so much better now. It must have been several years since the last time! Poor thing. Next year she will be beautiful. It has tiny, fragrant pink roses! I used to use the roses in a silver vase pin I have. Loved wearing a fresh rose to work!

Hang in there everyone! We can do this together!

I feel ya. Yes, still struggling. I’m sick to death of working so hard at this. Why wasn’t I born into a thin family!?! So much mental and physical energy goes into this and I could be living a more interesting funner life instead. I just feel like eating whatever I want. I don’t give a Dam right now. I know I’ll regret it if I do, but that is how I honestly feel right now. Sick and tired of pouring so much time and energy into it.

Oh Heidi - I totally get this!

I will have to watch what I eat every day for the rest of my life, unless I want to go back to weighing 291, or more. My 2 siblings don't have a weight care in the world. It is totally not fair. This is the hand I have been dealt.

Yes it is frustrating, but look how far you've come! Look how far we have all come. When someone is an alcoholic, the phrase goes, "Admitting it is the hardest step." I think this applies here, to us, also.

We know we have to watch what we eat. We know it will be a daily struggle. The idea is to find a way of eating that allows us to get to a healthy weight and also to enjoy life more than being overweight and miserable.

Please, don't give up. It is ok to feel frustrated and exasperated. We all go there from time to time. Please don't let yourself stay there for long. Have a non-eating pity party for 1 hour. Then dust yourself off and work the plan.

Thanks Sosumi. No, I’m not going to give up, but I’m not going to be as gung ho as usual and not so strict. Losses will be slower, so be it.

Scale was good to me this am.

Sept 4–200
Sept 10–206
Sept 14–203.6
Sept 15–203

Sosumi - How do you feel about moving the thread back to the other site on a forum like this: http://lcneighborhood.com/board/25/atkins

Heidi - I get that, "I don't give a darn" feeling. I was like that for many years and kind of how I ended up where I am now. I think it's a great idea to loosen up a bit and transition to something more sustainable for the long term. If you can just get back to under 200 and stay there that will be a huge step in the right direction.
