Hey guys!

I'm the only person I know on the low-carb thing, and its so hard for my friends and family to understand what I'm going through..especially since most don't approve. I was wondering if anyone else out there in my peer group was in the same boat, and if so- did anyone want to start a pen-pal thing or a hang-out thing? It'd just be nice to have people to talk to who can sympathize.

A little about me-
Just graduated from college. Living in California. I'm on the "maintenance" end of the low-carb lifestyle. I guess if you want to know more- feel free to email or respond.

Thanks =)

I'm curious to know how you went from "induction" to "maintenance". Was it an easy transition, or did you have a lot of trouble finding your personal level of carb intake??

yeah, its still extremely difficult to go from losing weight to maintaining the level you strived for. i'm still trying to figure out how many carbs to take in order to not lose any more weight. i guess its a trial and error process. your thoughts?

I know that, in theory, you should weigh one day at a specific time (like when you first wake up), eat all week on your plan and weigh a week later. If you're at maintenance, you'll weigh the same.

I suppose it's tough to say though, because if you don't have much weight to lose, then even the two-week induction will eventually lose effectiveness and it may seem like you can't lose at all regardless of what you try. There's also the rule of five. If you gain more than five pounds at any time--especially if you're on maintenance--it's back to induction for about four days to restart.
