Is there any way we can just add the percentage of vitamins and minerals into a custom food? I have some meal bars that only give things like "calcium 35%," etc. and although I can just do the conversion if need be, it'd be easier to just enter the percentage...

We'll eventually add an option to use any number of the published RDA's, or set up a personalized RDA for percentages.

Unfortunately, these percentages are not always the same, as fas as I know. Some regulations post the percentages based on an assumed weight, and some vary by the manufacturing country, and not always identical.

I'll research the issue when we get to the RDA, but If anyone has experience on the different RDA regulations, please let know.

Good to know. For now I have no problem doing the math myself, I printed off the recommended dietary intakes from the usda web site and just multiply that # by the percentage... It's probably better this way because the usda goes by age and sex (and even has a section for pregnant & lactating women), and the #'s do vary a bit from group to group. This is the web page I got my info. from: http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/dga/rda.pdf . Hope that helps (for the U.S. users anyway...)
