Talking 10kg gain in one day???

On Saturday Night I stood on the scales - in the morning I was 63 kgs, and in the evening I was 73kgs!!!
I was very shocked as you can imagine, and could not figure out what was wrong

I gave the scales a shake - and saw the silhouette of a cockroach crawling across the digital readout inside!!
The weight then read 320kgs!!! One very heavy cockroach!!Don't you hate them!!

So next time your scales go up - blame the weight gain on a cockroach

Hey Lucy

Sounds like you have digital scales, yes? I had some lovely Soehnle digital scales once but they used to go bananas when the battery power was getting low. There were days when I lost half my bodyweight during the day! I always knew it was time to change the batteries when that started to happen!

Lucy

An increase of 10 Kg in one day does seem rather excessive. I'm sure the cockroach was a little to blame, however it is normal to be quite a bit lighter in the morning than in the evening, usually at least 1 kg or 3 or 4 pounds. It is only overnight when your body is fasting and uses up what you ate and drank during the day that your weight again drops. I assume that you weighed yourself wearing the same things both times. Clothes can weigh heavy as can a pint of water!!

Hope the scales tell a better story next time.
