02/03: 210.6
02/04: DNW
02/05: 209.6

So I had my 3rd year annual Heart Transplant visit, Everything was great, but they were worried about my cholesterol . I have been doing well and losing weight. What do you al think about this. They did not tell me how high, or ask me about what I was doing to lose so much weight, but my wife was talking to them and she said something like it was 4 times the normal . So with that said I trying to figure out what I need to lay off of to get mine lower. I told them it would be high and I knew it.

I have been strict and have had no sugar, grain, or anything bad. So what do you all think? Should I get my numbers to see what they are? I feel very good, hell better then ever since I have been eating on this WOE. I do not plan to stop. Most transplants gain 40 or more pounds, not me.

We were definitely taken by surprise a few months ago when they told us she was expecting... We had sorta gotten used to the idea that we may never become granparents ...my daughter had told me about three years ago, she didn't think she ever wanted kids....so we had resigned ourselves to the fact that we might never have them, things changed.. She moved back to our home town, just down the street and a year and a half later... Tada! I have a granddaughter...lol

I see a doctor that specializes in Obesity Medicine. She is the one that put me on Dr. Westman's LC diet. My cholesterol was a lot higher when she last checked. She told me that it tends to increase during weight loss and goes back down once weight has stopped and stabilized. If you are worried about it, you might want to go and check out Ken's (khrussva) journal. He was having the same issue and made some dietary changes.

For sure you should get your numbers! I'm no expert but there are plenty of folks that follow those numbers and can get more meaning out of them. I was at my doctor this morning and ASKED for them to do a lipid panel as they know that I started LC 9/30 - I didn't have any expectations other than I thought my LDL would be higher (as I've heard from others) and my HDL would have been higher too. the results seem pretty un-remarkable to me except they are moving in a good directions I think.

Here's a snip from my chart showing the last 3 readings and a plot from today. Maybe they will be of interest or helpful to you, maybe not, but DEFINITELY get the numbers and a few third party opinions before making any decision
