It's never just one meal sadly, is it lol.

DH got me a cappucino maker for my birthday so I'm going to try it with unsweetened soya milk.

Hello - I'm an ex London girl (used to hail from Kentish Town), but now live and work in Bedford.

I've been Lc'ing for a little bit over three weeks. This thread is a great idea, it's nice to know that you're not alone searching the aisles of tescos for low carb treats!

Hey there,

I am too from the UK (East anglia).

I mainly shop and tescos, but sometimes pop into Morrisons or Asda.

I agree, it's great to know there are other UK low carbers on this board too.
Sometimes it can be hard trying to find certain products/foods for low carb being in the UK.

Does anyone know if we can get sugar free ice lollies / popsicles over here? I hear people talking about fudgesicles but I think they may be an American thing?

Blimeys, don't know about the ice lollies -maybe make your own with sweetner or unsweetened fruit juice.

Tell you what we should do, as Atkins is becoming a bit expensive- especially induction- post any offers we see on Atkinsy things in the UK supermarkets.

Morrissons (I love you, you are so cheap!) - 2 packs of shedloads of chicken drumsticks for £4 - a bargain if you can eat them all before they go off. On induction I probably could!

I am currently buying their 'Save £5 when you buy 2x packs of chicken breast fillets', as I can't imagine anything interesting to do with drumsticks. Also for the fishlovers, go to the fresh fish counter and look for offers -last week I bought a whole medium sized rainbow trout at Moz's for 84p!! Stuffed it with rosemary garlic and butter- mmmmmmmmmmmm

Also Splenda, Camembert and cheddar are on offer there at the moment

Any other deals going on in the High Street?

Good idea kimberly. i too am finding it expensive on induction so any bogof offers are for me. For anyone looking for 100% coconut oil, i found a 500ml bottle in my local asian supermarket it was only 2.25. i also bought a huge bag of almonds there for under 3.00. i haven't used the oil in cooking yet but my hands now smell good enough to eat lol.
tescos are doing bacon bogof so i've stocked up on that. splenda 100 mini's are also on offer there

Good idea!

If anyone uses it, Holland & Barrett are currently selling their whey protein in the 'less than half price sale' - it's £11.99 for a 908g tub, instead of the usual £25.99.
