Default Honeypie's Gym Log... Let's hope it STICKS, this time!

Ok.... So I started going to the gym February 18, 2011. That is 9 nine days including today. But in my main journal, I've been tracking and today was supposed to be Day 10 of exercising. Anyway,... who knows. I certainly haven't lost any weight considering how much I have been doing, whether it's 9 days or 10. But I was editing the same post over and over again,.. and it was getting a bit long... so I'm copying it here, and will keep my gym visits updated here from now on.

Day 1
254.6 lbs
45 min elliptical, 155 heart beat

Day 2
255 lbs
65 min elliptical
60 min Zumba

Day 3
253.6 lbs
50 min Body Balance class
30 min elliptical

Day 4
252.4
60 min Pilates class (a very poor one!)
30 min elliptical

Day 5
253.6
50 min Belly dancing class. VERY poor. Didn't even break a sweat ONCE.
35 Elliptical

Day 6
250.8
30 min elliptical
30 min elliptical again later

Day 7
60 min Body Pump class
249.4 My knee is killing me today
60 min Bellydancing class

Default Day 11 of exercising, Day 8 of LC <30g carbs per day

TOM came yesterday. So I HOPE that that goes at least SOME way towards explaining, why my loss has been so minimal over the last 11 days of exercising so much and being so well on plan.

I didn't make it to the gym class this morning. I wasn't being lazy - I could really feel that I needed to stay in bed. I will still go in later, and I guess just do something on my own today maybe. Maybe only half an hour even. Because I want to have energy during the week to do it it 100%. And if I go today, it will still be my 11th consecutive day of going.

There IS a class that I could still make in an hour... but it is SO killer...I don't know if I can do it today. Or is that just my old bad habits rearing their ugly heads already??

60 min Legs, Bums, and Tums class - HARD!

I know I won't be losing any weight from doing a 1hr exercise class a day... but at least I am doing it. And at least it makes me see how DISGUSTING I am, in the wall to wall, floor to ceiling, all the way around the room, mirrors.

No, I am not just being down on myself. I look DISGUSTING. Like, I think the instructor is too grossed out to even look at me. And my legs are the size of AN ENTIRE PERSON'S BODY.

Each. And no, I am not exaggerating. My own waist and torso used to be less than even ONE of my legs now.

I guess this is the first time I've really SEEN myself, huffing and puffing, and disgusting, and unable to even lift my own body weight off the ground.

Yes, can you tell? Going to the gym is doing WONDERS for my morale.

I guess the problem is that, being so tall... I was always under the (very mistaken) idea that I could "get away with it" a little bit better.

I mean... srsly????


What was I even thinking??? Just that if I wear black, and clothes in the right size that fit, that no one would know?? Or have eyeballs?

Sorry if people think I am just being too hard on myself, too late.

But I am just really, really ashamed.

Of me.
To see myself.
Of what I have become.

And the absolute terror, that it will never change back again.

I have been at this weight or higher, for every day of the last TWO YEARS. And only at this weight bouncing around ONCE, last January,... and now for the last 6 weeks.

I don't think I'm overeating. And yes, I have had pork rinds twice this week.... but in general... I have NOT been getting it wrong, or eating like the MONSTER pig, that I look like I must be.

Sorry if anyone reads this. I just need to post how I feel sometimes. I can't really just keep it ALL in.

Tomorrow I am also only going to one single class. Apart from Bellydance. That doesn't count.... it is NOT an exercise class. Then from Tues - Sat, it will be back to 2 classes a day, not one.

I can't face the gym anymore. Classes from now on out, it is.

Default Day 12 of exercising, Day 9 of LC <30g carbs per day

Today will also mark Day 1 of my personal March No Wine / No cigarettes Challenge!

As it's the last day of February, I thought I'd get a one day head start on this.

Weight is 250.2. TOM still here. I'm sad about the weight, because I actually don't even feel bloated anymore. But it's been the same weight for like 6 days now, despite being 2lbs less prior to that, and my having been completely on plan the entire time.

The good news, gym-wise... is that after having gone for 11 consecutive days so far... it is getting a little easier.

I am no longer doing anything in the gym area at all for the time being. HATE those machines now!!!! Soooooo boring!!! NO WONDER I used to always stop going after the first week back... always!

Plan for today:

45 min Body Pump
60 min Bellydancing class

Then from tomorrow through till Saturday,... it will be Spin every single day YIKES!

Oh... by the way; my bum is SORE today, from that class yesterday!!!!!!!! But like, not in that it-hurts-to-move kind of way... just in that way that actually feels really good!!

Weight 248.2 lbs

Not jumping about and down about that yet, as it could be dehydration... AND the fact that I have seen that number about 10 times already in January AND February, before it jumps right back up to like 252 again the next day. So holding my horses for now.

But WILL aim to eat super duper clean today. If there's any chance I can get below this by tomorrow and start a LONG overdue downward losing streak... I would be so happy!

TODAY is the first day of my No Wine No Cigarettes March Challenge. I feel really scared!!

My plan for tonight at the gym is

60 min Spin
60 min Body Pump

Yesterday's gym was kind of a bust. The Body Pump class was like 40 min instead of an hour, if that. I got the weights kind of wrong so only felt a workout during the first 10 min. Then bellydance was a bust as well. I couldn't follow at all and guess I took my two left feet to the class last night. Also didn't break a sweat once.

It's kind of ok though. I considered yesterday to be my rest day.

Hey Honey, hope its OK that I dropped in to your gym page -- I can feel your frustration, but you also said some really positive things in between the sighs, for example:

It is shocking that the weight isn't streaming off, eating to plan and exercising, but that shows you were probably correct in your assessment that you held the weight well, you were in a solid maintenance state, and it takes some time to push your multiple selves (the little fat cells I mean) out of their comfortable places. At least thats how I invision my current struggles. Well, here's wishing you all the best, do enjoy those classes, you are lucky to have them available to you -- do a belly dance class for me, eh?

I have only done one gym class per day for the last two days and was thinking of keeping it to only one class per day for the next two weeks.

However,.... I now have weird guilt about that. I also had gross food the last 4 days in a row.... NOTHING came out right. Also have been in the WORST. MOOD. EVER.

I think I still need to work on spacing out my mealtimes. Or something. Grrrrrrr!

Also.... the Spin I went to yesterday, is with the lady i HATE. And then when I left, I saw that I REALLY messed up.... because I missed the class with the BEST instructor out of the whole gym, in Body Pump.... and he's only in 2 hours out of the whole week. So.... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

45 min half-hearted Zumba.

I really really REALLY don't like that class. I think it's the awful soundtrack these two particular instructors use. And it's the same soundtrack every time. UGH!!! I am not going to go again. I gave it 2 tries, 2 weeks apart.

Also.... NO MORE MUGS OF BOULLION. Just one, made me go up a pound and a half. Then, a whole day after that, just to get back to where I was. On low cal.... that is THE PITS
