I think that's the best way.

I'm not doing very low car, just about under 50g a day and I plan on taking my time. Last time I followed Atkins to the dot- after I stopped it I had immediate cravings for carbs and actually gained back MORE than I had ever been in my life.

My take is eat carbs more than you would on say Atkins induction but eat them in vegetables, fruits, and whole (raw pumpernickle is great) breads if need be.

Greetings! I wish some people had contribute more to this forum. I am trying to concieve now...and I have my periods but I dont know if I am having anno. periods.....its hard to really tell...but i know I have doing something because I do have a LH surge. Nevertheless, I decide that I am going to go back to strict Low Carb for a while and see what happens. I had one doctor say that I had PCOS but another doc said since I was having my periods that it isnt possible. But I remember the only reason why my period regulated is because I went on the LOW carb diet and manage to keep my weight to 249..which at one point I was 290......Hope this thread gets more attention and we can hear more success stories.

I saw a reproductive endocrinologist and she actually put me on sugar busters I didn't really count the carbs just stuck to the acceptable foods list and took my metformin my cycles regulated I still had to do fertility meds but, I got pregnant after he was born I went back on a diet and lost 108lbs and got pregnant with my 2nd without any medical intervention other than having to be on progesterone for the first 3 months of pregnancy.

if you can go see a reproductive endocrinologist they are the best when it comes to a women and pcos and helping reach our hearts desire of having a baby. I should say I was on sugar busters for eating and metformin which she kept me on till I got pregnant then had me stop taking it.

They used to give me provera I think it was when I would go to long without a cycle to get things going.. I heard so many times that it probably wouldn't happen but, when I went to see her she said okay lets have a baby.. I lost 50lbs then we started fertility treatments .. I have 2 wonderful little boys .. I also have a bicornate/septate uterus to add to the fun of pcos so my other issue was they didn't know if I could carry to term.. I had 7lb 6oz 20 1/2 in long little boy and my 2nd was a 9lb 20 1/2 in long little boy.. I laid off caffeinated drinks .. would drink a ton of water and was just really strict with eating ..
