Hi there over the years I have done low carb - started with Barry Groves. This helped me get type 2 diabetes well controlled. Sadly a lot has happened in past years including losing my husband and the weight and eating has piled on. At 74 I do not intend to go down without a fight!! I am taking this very seriously and want to build my strength up as well as lose weight. The thread for over 50's on here has been inspiring. It will be great to be part of a group and learn and support each other. So looking forward to getting to know you! My aim is to stay as well under 30 carbs a day as possible.

Welcome Brandy. There is a plethora of ladies in their seventies here that post frequently are would be great support. Dietary intervention is never too late in my opinion - it may be a bit bumpy at first but it's mostly just fundamentally changing your outlook on eating and food choices. Sound easy? It really is with the right attitude - I feel that this is really the only stumbling block - fortunately I got over that one quickly. Perhaps you can too as it sounds like you're on your way.

Thank you for your encouraging welcome ! Its good to be here. I know this works and can remember how well I have felt before. The trick is this time to maintain the lifestyle. Boredom in the meals has defeated me in the past. (My own fault). Have seen your weight loss photos and they are impressive
