Hi I just started low carbing today, and I have no idea what I'm doing. I never eat breakfast, should I start? And I love fruit- are they out? I'm not following Atkins, just trying to cut down on my carbs. Does anyone know how many carbs we should eat per day of course to maximize weight loss?

I'm very glad I found this site. You guys are really great, and you have a lot of valueable info out here.

Hi Cgreen, welcome aboard.

Carbs per day vary by plan and per person, one size doesn't fit all Best thing is experimentation and discovering what works for your body, as we're all different.

Do some reading on low-carb diets, even if you don't plan on following a particular diet, the information they provide on insulin / insulin resistance, metabolism, EFA's etc. should make you well aware of the chemistry of the body and how your diet can optimize your weight-loss.

Some fruits are fairly low-carb, high-fiber, like berreis. You can do a search with our new search tools to get a listing of fruits that are low-carb, high fiber

Good luck and let us know how you're doing,

Wa'il
