Lent starts tommorow and I was wondering if eggs are considered ok to eat when your not allowed to eat meat? After all the chicken originates from the egg. I know. what a dumb question.

Wow , I never thought about that! I've always eaten eggs during lent and probably still will...then again, I'm not the best Catholic!

Well speaking from my many years of attending Catholic school - egg salad is ALL anybody ever brought for lunch during Lent! Don't you remember all those smelly lunchboxes..LOL

I would say that is between you and the higher power .
