No biggie tho', am skipping breakfast and trying for a 16/8 fast today, then eating light---it's all about balance.

Up again! I weighed myself last night and expected to trend down but I got a clue something was off with my body in the morning when I was almost the same. I relaxed today after a job interview and swam 1000 yards and was flushing fluid afterwards like crazy. I didn't feel bloated but I guess I was.

There's a reason why I haven't updated ... no winner here, heh heh. We'll see what the weekly Monday weigh-in brings!

No change for me! But I swam another thousand yards. After my crazy health thing earlier in the Fall, it's so great to feel healthy again.

No change. Not going down but not fluctuating up either. Slow and steady. Good luck Going2!

Hello everyone! How are you. I have been away from the forum a long time. it feels like. I have not been on any particular plan but the weekends I didn't have kids I would go to the gym and walk however if you don't change your eating habits then nothing really happens. I had pre ordered this vegan protein powder at my gym that is full of pea and rice protein but it is not fattening but before I use that I have a special event in Dec. on the 19th it is for work. I am wondering... do you think if I did an egg fast I could lose 20 lbs for that event. I know that does not sound super healthy and I would be taking my vitamins with it and I would be maybe adding in some other protein's and fats if need be but do you think it would work. the last time I was on an egg fast for a month I lost 20 lbs in a month but I was 26 years old back then. Now I am 40 almost 41 years old. Would it still work? would it destroy my metabolism? Please - any advice you can think of thanks. I'm no doing burgers again I couldn't stomach them anymore.

Entropy - Nice to see ya! No advice on the egg fast because everyone's body is different and, yep, metabolism def. slows in your 40s. Maybe try a few days and see how you respond.

As expected, a poopy Monday weigh-in even though I've been consistently brisk-walking (3.5+ mph) 2 miles 3 out of 4 days. Guess my metabolism is more efficient about absorbing calories now, hahaha. Entropy's right, you can't expect modest exercise to offset poor eating. Sigh.

Actually, exercise is pretty much useless per several studies. Stick to the low carb!!!

Pea proteins.... legumes are also high carb as well as good protein.... so depending on your plan this could back fire and cause weight gain. Does it have added amino acids for a complete protein?

I was hoping to see someone win today.....

Ms Arielle - "... exercise is pretty much useless per several studies" Hahaha! Have to admit, I don't like it but I know it's good for me <blech!>.

Said that after just doing a solid 3.5 mph 2 miles on the treadmill. I've been unusually consistent with walking, only had one blip--a 2-day break that had me scared (I'm known for quitting early on). It's been 9 weeks today and I can tell the difference in my legs and stamina; at almost 60 y.o., am taking it slow-n-steady tho'! Currently on hour 19 of a 16/8 IF and not hungry yet, and the scale has a happy face this morning so I'm claiming it for motivation!
