Default HOw long did it take you to loose 65-70 lbs

Just wondering for those of you who have made it that far...how long did it take you to loose that much. I had a great loss initially and now I seem to just chase around the same five pounds..finally manage to drop down...and then rinse, lather, repeat. I am probably just being too impatient but I really want to know how it progressed for others as well.

Well, I had a break in between my 86 pounds, but I've lost 53 since beginning of June. I average it out at about 10 pounds a month (some months more; some months fewer).

I lost 46lbs in 7months. It's been 9months now and I've lost 52.
Stick with the plan, you will get to your goal. You might need to do some tweaking here and there but the weight will come off.
You have done good so far. You will get there.

hi winnietheb (sp?)-we seem to have similar stats...would love to have a buddy in this..im new to atkins lost from 193.5 to 149.5 in 6 weeks on a starvation diet (under 200-300 cals-no bread, dairy, rice, sugar, potatoes, very little protein)..it was scary..now im trying something different after having a 4 day simple carb binge (under 900 cals) and gaining about 12 lbs...im on my second full day of the atkins induction

sorry-i know this isnt the place for this

I've lost 60 pounds in two months, however, I REALLY tweak my diet. I stay on induction most of the time. I'll have a "cheat" day every week where I'll eat what most other LCers will eat every day. It's mostly meat for me. I'm just a very impatient person. I want results NOW. On weekends I cook lots of low carb meals. It's very exciting to actually cook. (I'm not a "kitchen person") I'm schooling myself in a way that I can re-train my mind to another lifesyle..low carb. I think I'm doing very well. I really don't have the hunger that I used to. I'm just now phasing in some low carb foods daily. It's kinda hard because I really don't want to eat. I eat when I'm hungry and that's about it. Eveyone's different. I'm sure it's best to lose slowly. You're doing GREAT!! Keep it up!!!

It took me about 7 months to lose my first 75 lbs, but I was a lot heavier than you when I started.

I lost 60 pounds very quickly - but I had much more weight to lose than you, too, like Kisal posted above.

60 pounds from your starting weight is about 33%.

60 pounds from my starting weight was only 7%.

Individual results, as they say, will ALWAYS vary!

I was at 198 when I started Atkins at the end of January, so it's taken me 8 months to lose 52 pounds. I do not cheat (at off-plan only a couple of days in July when I had to, but even then was only slightly off-plan), and I exercise 60 minutes or so 4 or 5 times per week. I have a very, very slow metabolism, though. Still, I'll take it! I was wearing a 22/24, and am now wearing a 10. My losses have definitely slowed down lately, but since I only have another 20 or so to go, that's expected.

Good luck to you! You'll get there.

Hi. I'm 5'4 and about 312. I'd love to hear the details of your story. I have a camping trip coming up in 8 weeks and I'd like to lose 60 pounds because I'm too unhealthy the enjoy the trip. My goals are to lose 60 pounds in 60 days. Can you share more details of what you did?
