Default Need some weight lifting advice

I've just started back lifting weights after a summer layoff. I'm really enjoying it. I had a great workout on Tuesday (two days ago) and plan on going to the gym today to work the same area of the body. Thing is, this area of the body is currently "pleasantly sore." Is it OK to work it out again? Should I wait one more day?

I'm really prone to giving myself excuses for NOT going to the gym, so I don't want to wuss out...I also don't want to hurt myself! Advice from more experienced gym people would be appreciated. Thank you!

Great Work!
If it is pleasantly sore you probably would not hurt anything. I would generally wait one more day on that area of the body. Could you do something else besides that body part? Cardio? At the very least a walk. I am a believer in 1 Set to Failure or a Total Body Workout Circuit Training. It allows me to not get sore and I feel it allows get my heart rate up. I recently started ketellbell training and I am loving that.

soreness isnt a reason to not workout and most often you'll feel better moving and getting blood flowing to the area.
