Question Question about stalls and ketosis

I know this is probably a stupid question but, I'm new to this WOE and I need enlightened. Those of you who are in a stall, are you stalled because of one or more of the factors discussed in here (known stallers like artificial sweeteners etc...) are keeping you from being in ketosis and causing a stall or can you be in ketosis and be stalling at the same time? Thanks, Chuppet

What you're asking is: Is it possible to be in ketosis AND be stalled at the same time? The answer is YES.... you can apparently be doing everything "right", be in ketosis (if one is on a ketogenic diet), and still be stalled. No doubt about it.

You can also be registering "negative" and still be in ketosis - those little strips are notoriously unreliable.

A few things to keep in mind:
  • Stalls usually happen for reasons. It's the body's way of taking a 'time-out'. This is a good time to change your focus from fat loss and concentrate on the other aspects of your WOE that make it your WOL
  • A stall that involves inches lost and changes in clothing sizes is not a stall
  • Having few lbs to lose, relatively speaking, will make the journey seem a lot longer. Stay focussed and motivated.
