Default Sugar Free Chocolate Cake

Scott and I were at a wedding tonight. The bride was very thoughtful and knew that we were on Atkins and had another guest who could not eat sugar at all. She purchased a special sugar free cake just for us (the cake was also very moist and dense, leading us to assume that it might be flour free as well). We were very surprised at the gesture and decided to enjoy some cake (though it was difficult not to feel guilty). Now that we're home, we're entering our dinner into Fitday, and can't figure out how to enter the cake. Does anyone have any ideas?

thanks!

Hi Cait,

I don't think that there is any way to estimate what exactly was in the cake.

The important thing is that it was sugar free, and you enjoyed it.
I would simply forget Fitday for today, and relax, safe in the knowledge that the bride was thoughtful enough to provide special cake for you. Not many friends are so thoughtful!

Hi there,

Gee what a thoughtful thing for her to do, glad you were able to enjoy that cake, it sounds like it was really delish.

I would say that since you don't know all the ingredients or quantities of them that you can't accurately record it in FitDay. You will know that the stats for the day are not totally accurate and that's all you can do. Being sugar free and probably low in flour or flour free then it probably was not too bad. Since your freind was so thoughtful to provide something that she thought you could enjoy, you made the right choice to have some and enjoy it. I don't think you should feel guilty - you probably would have felt more guilty if you HAD NOT had a little since it had been especially provided for you

Thanks guys! Yes, Scott and I did sit back and enjoy our cake. The bride was so excited that we each got a piece! She's just that type of person. They put their wedding together in 4 weeks and took time to think about other people's needs. Just an incredible couple!
