Default Pentabosol

Dr. Eades is soliciting responses on his website from people who have used the Pentabosol supplement that he sells. So far several people have expressed interest but not one says they have tried it. Has anyone here used Pentabosol in conjunction with the PP plan?

There's a thread on the Protein Power website's forum where people have discussed this. www.proteinpower.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6931

I hope I'm doing the link right. The moderator (Galen) also mentioned that this subject had been discussed quite a bit about 3 or 4 years ago. I didn't take the time to search for that old thread, but maybe it could still be found?

I just searched & couldn't find much, probably because they had a different website 3-4 years ago. I also recall that many people spelled pentabosol incorrectly, so it was hard to find threads even back then.

I looked today and couldn't find that old thread, either. I know their site crashed once or twice and everything was lost.

Anyhow, the general consensus from the four people who did relate their experience, was that "it did nothing." But, maybe it works better for some than others? Maybe they are sensitive to artificial sweeteners? (It's made with Splenda.)

I'd really like to hear more reviews about it, myself. I've been stalled for a long, long time!

I bought a can of it after reading about it on the blog, and have been taking it nearly three weeks so far. So far the only thing it has lightened is my wallet.

Thanks for being our early adopter, guinea-pig-person. You saved us all some $$$. It seems odd, though, that he recommends it so highly and it does nothing. I do trust his integrity, but this is strange.

Thanks for attaching this link Mrs. Skip. I was going to buy some but now I've decided to save my money. I saw a blog about the study and major bragging on the product, along with a picture of assistant before and after, but it seems that most people are stating that it has not worked for them. I'm not willing to pay the price at $65.00 a month. I'm sure the low carb diet alone and exercise will be enough. It has been so far. $65.00 a month buys a lot of meat!

Pentabosol worked for me. I saw the same request on his blog and looked into and thought I would give it a try. Previously I lost about 25 pounds slowly over about a 6 month period of time. Then I gained and lost the same 4 pounds for about 3 months. Then decided to get serious again. I bought the Pentabosol and was more careful with my diet. I lost 2.6 pounds the first week which I might expect since I had not been real strict before then. But, I lost 2.6 pounds the second week too. I am a 51 year old and perimenopausal just diagnosed as hypothyroid. If I could lose 5 pounds in 2 weeks I know it helped. The next two weeks on it I was not as strict on my diet (nuts, dairy and alcohol) which stalled my good results. I think I lost a total of 7 pounds that month (which I have kept off).

I agree that it is expensive. Can you do it without it? Of course. But I was at a time and place that I needed some help to get me serious about losing again and this really helped. I am still shocked that I could lose that much in a month. I do think it helped not only psychologically to keep me on my diet but I really believed it also did accelerate my weight loss. Would I take it month after month? Nope. Would I take it again when I want to make things go faster? Yep.

Well that is a great testimonial so maybe it is like many other things - works for some but not others. I didn't lose a thing really while on Pentabosal (and strict LC). So I guess you never know until you try.

I agree. I think it will work for some and not at all for others. I just had to speak up and let people know that it did work for me, as everyone who had posted so far did not have any success. I was at a place in my life where I was ready to try it, just for the month to see. I checked back to the thread in his blog and there are several other folks who say it has really helped them. They are reformulating it for taste, gritty-ness and to take out the sucrulose. I might have to give the new stuff a try in a few months just to see if I have the same results.
