Default Flax Seeds vrs. Flax Meal

the nutrition facts for flax seeds is 11 carb but 9 fiber (2 net carbs)
for flax meal, its 4 carb and 4 fiber (0 net carbs)

Isnt flax meal just ground flax seeds?
Also, when i browse recipes, it says that if you ground flax seeds, they double in size when they become gound flax.
For example, 1/4 cup flax seeds (makes 1/2 cup flax meal)

What does this all mean? And why is there such a difference between the flax SEEDS and the flax MEAL??

but the opinions of each of those threads are quite....varied.
What's your honest opinion about flax?
Also, is it better to use flax instead of low carb bake mix?

I like flax and I use it regularly. You can't substitute it for bake mix, but you could probably substitute a portion of it, say 1/3 flax and 2/3 bake mix.

A warning though...too many indulgences can work against you. It's very easy to develop and addiction to low-carb stuff that imitates high carb stuff. It's not something you think about because you're lulled into thinking that anything low-carb is just hunky dory. It might not be right for you, even though others are doing it.
