I have an eating plan where I gradually added low sugar botanical fruits (berries and cherries, avocado, some tomato sauce) but lost all vegetables. My guidelines have been everything is eaten as part of a meal, and a meal is something that doesn't trip cravings.
I have to feel satisfied, and I don't want to be hungry for hours.
It is bizarre that shredded cabbage creates a problem when raspberries don't, but I can't argue with my body. I already spent decades doing that.
I'm 1.5 years into this thing and still figuring stuff out. It was only a few months ago that I dropped nuts and seeds and my arthritis improved dramatically. I don't know why tomato sauce seems to work while potatoes, not matter how small a portion, do not when they are both nightshade plants. (But one is a fruit and one is a tuber.)
Still trying to figure out my rules, and I encourage everyone to experiment in the same spirit.
